Gift Certificate as Product ("GCAP") is a simple to install, yet advanced add-in that allows StoreFront 6 merchants to sell Gift Certificates like stores such as Amazon.com. StoreFront's shopping cart system, as of this writing (version 6.7), has no provisions for customers/shoppers to purchase gift certificates without direct Merchant interaction. With GCAP, shoppers can buy gift certificates as "products" from your store and have gift certificates immediately e-mailed to the intended recipient using a custom designed template themed to your store using HTML or via a standard text template (or both using the new multi-part e-mail system).
